Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving elementary students in a supportive environment near Joliet, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position with an immediate start through November 2026, providing continuity in one elementary building with both self-contained and regular education/resource caseloads. Engage with a dynamic team, positively impacting students growth and development.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Illinois is required Compliance with any district- or state-mandated credentials (e.g., PEL or specialized certifications as needed) Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable Excellent communication and collaboration skills Dedication to fostering student independence, access, and participation within educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in self-contained and general education/resource classrooms Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment Document progress and participate in IEP meetings Adapt interventions and recommendations to best serve student needs and educational goals Advocate for accessibility and support across the academic environment
