Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois Previous experience as an OT in school settings strongly preferred Skilled in assessment, IEP development, and documentation Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational and communication skills Positive attitude and a commitment to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed assessments to identify students needs Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to each student Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals within classroom environments Supervise and guide the COTA in daily activities and assigned tasks Document progress and participate in IEP meetings with accuracy and professionalism Adjust therapeutic approaches as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for students Youll thrive in a supportive school environment, enjoying the chance to impact a variety of students and work alongside a dedicated COTA.
