Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapist.pdf Download Thompson Middle School and Ferson Creek Elementary are seeking an Occupational Therapist as a LTS from 10/1/26 - 1/4/27 (dates are approximate).
Qualifications :
Minimum Education/Certification:
Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited Occupational Therapy program. Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the direct supervision of a district occupational therapist, including screenings, evaluations, and delivery of interventions. Develop occupational therapy intervention plans and programs for students that align with IEP goals focused on sensorimotor needs, participation, and engagement. Select and provide occupational therapy interventions such as facilitating motor skills, sensory integration, play skills, social participation, and use of assistive technology, as outlined in student IEPs or intervention plans. To work as part of our Substitute Team, you will need one of the following: a Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education), or a Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree. We do not accept Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses in D303.
Long Term Substitute Teacher Rate:
$220 per day In addition to the online application, a valid Substitute or PEL license, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE must be provided. For additional details, go to the District 303 website and view the Substitute Handbook.
