Job Description

Experience a meaningful career opportunity working with students and staff in a supportive school environment near Waukegan, IL! This contract position focuses on school-based Occupational Therapy services, with a particular emphasis on completing OT evaluations. You'll play a key role in helping students thrive by supporting their unique developmental and educational needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois Previous experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred Skilled in conducting thorough OT evaluations and writing clear, detailed reports Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and school personnel Commitment to fostering student growth, independence, and inclusion

Responsibilities:

Complete comprehensive OT evaluations for students, using evidence-based assessment tools Develop intervention plans based on evaluation results and student IEPs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and track individualized goals Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as needed Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to parents, staff, and other stakeholders Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based multidisciplinary meetings
