• NovaCare Rehabilitation in Bowie, MD, is seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic outpatient team.

This is a great opportunity for a therapist who enjoys working with upper extremity (UE) cases and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We are ideally looking for a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an OT with at least 2 years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation.

• Schedule: As needed, per diem hours are available. Our center is open as early as 7A, closing at 7P Monday through Thursday and until 2P on Friday. Part-time (steady hours) are possible.

Collaboration:

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

High Standard of Care:

Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Personalized Treatment:

Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

Relationship-Building:

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
• accredited school of occupational therapy
  
• CPR certification
  
• Valid driver's license
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
  
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
