Southern Maine Pediatric Therapies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for an OT looking to provide meaningful, play-based therapy to children while maintaining a flexible schedule. While the position primarily requires after-school availability, there is an opportunity to expand hours based on therapist availability and client needs. Our therapist-owned clinic has proudly served the Windham community for over 10 years, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment focused on high-quality, child-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental, sensory, and functional needs Develop and implement treatment plans targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and activities of daily living Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments as appropriate Deliver therapy sessions primarily during after-school hours, with potential to expand into daytime hours Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support skill carryover Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards Foster a positive, engaging, and child-centered therapy environment
Qualifications:
Current Maine Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Pediatric experience preferred, but not required Knowledge of sensory integration and child development principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, per diem schedule
Schedule:
Per diem, based on therapist availability and client needs After-school hours required, with opportunity for additional daytime hours as caseload grows
