Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your passion for helping students thrive as an Occupational Therapist providing essential support during a maternity leave coverage with the opportunity for possible extension. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week beginning November 5, 2026, through February 15, 2027. Candidates may work onsite, which is preferred, but virtual (VOCO) participation will be considered for the right professional. The role is ideal for therapists dedicated to elevating student success and maximizing potential in a school-based environment. What you'll need to succeed: Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license (required at application; please provide screenshot/copy) Experience working as a school-based OT, especially with diverse student needs Strong collaboration skills to consult with educators, families, and support personnel Confident communicator, comfortable with both onsite and virtual service delivery models Knowledge of IEP documentation, assessments, and goal-setting for pediatric/educational populations What your responsibilities include: Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility evaluations Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and documentation per district requirements Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student goals and school initiatives Engage in IEP meetings, providing insight on student progress and recommended strategies This opportunity offers a dynamic professional environment, a clear assignment period with a stable weekly commitment, and flexibility for virtual work if needed.
