Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in Minnesota for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position focuses primarily on elementary-aged students, with responsibilities split among a collaborative OT team at the beginning of the school year to best serve student needs. The role is entirely in-person, offering a chance to build meaningful connections with both students and fellow professionals.
Qualifications:
Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (required) Experience working in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of pediatric and school-based OT practices Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Commitment to delivering services on-site (remote/virtual work is not permitted)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students, primarily within elementary schools Participate in collaborative caseload division and planning with the OT department at the start of the school year Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student participation and access to curriculum Consult and coordinate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize therapeutic outcomes Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and compliance with state and district documentation standards
