Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to students in a supportive educational setting near Ilfeld, NM. This role focuses on delivering quality, student-centered therapy through a blend of in-person, home health, and teletherapy modalities. The position is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule and the chance to make a real difference for a small, engaged caseload.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current Occupational Therapist licensure (NM) Experience in school-based OT, home health, or teletherapy settings strongly preferred Availability to work on-site one day per week, with sessions from 7:45AM to 2:45PM Familiarity with best practices in school OT, including IEP development and documentation Must hold a valid Medicaid NCI # Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to approximately 8 students, based on their individual education programs (IEPs) Utilize a variety of service delivery models including in-person, home health, and virtual/teletherapy as needed Assess students' needs and develop targeted, effective intervention plans Maintain detailed session documentation and progress reports Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' learning and participation Adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines for school-based therapy services This contract position starts August 10, 2026, with a set schedule each week, offering a valuable work-life balance and the satisfaction of helping students grow and succeed.
