Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives while enjoying a flexible schedule in a school-based physical therapy position. This contract opportunity near Ilfeld, NM allows you to utilize your specialized skills in a supportive educational environment. You'll work one day per week, providing essential physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately eight students, fostering their growth, mobility, and participation in school activities.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license, with experience in a school setting preferred Familiarity with PT evaluation, intervention, and documentation processes for students ages Pre-K through high school Must have a valid Medicaid NCI number Proven ability to collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families Strong communication and organization skills Commitment to compliance with FERPA, IDEA, and state regulations Must pass a comprehensive background check
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students based on IEP goals Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility, progress, and review meetings Develop treatment plans aimed at maximizing students' independence, safety, and participation within the school environment Document treatment sessions and progress in accordance with district and Medicaid requirements Provide training and consultation to school staff and families to ensure continuity of care Partner with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal outcomes for each student This position offers you a consistent, one-day-per-week schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, starting August 10th, 2026.
