Life-Changing Patient Care Occupational Therapists Make It Possible Staff Occupational Therapist (Lymphedema Focus) / Full-Time NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center (Milstein Building) Day Shift / 8 am
  • 4 pm / Tuesday

As part of our tight-knit team, you'll have the opportunity to help patients gain functional independence and live fulfilling lives, while continuously moving forward in your career. In this role, the Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan and provide treatment programs for patients whose injury, disease, or loss of body part interferes with daily functioning. Provide skilled intervention using a variety of techniques that are appropriate to achieving the identified goals. You'll have the opportunity to work in adult acute care. Work with a dynamic, experienced staff, caring for a diverse population. This position will provide OT services at Milstein Hospital (177 Fort Washington Ave, New York, NY 10032). The services are provided for inpatient orthopedics, neurology/neurosurgery, medicine, cardiac, ICU, and oncology areas. This is a full-time position for dayshift, Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 am
  • 4:00 pm, with additional Sundays and holidays as per PHOTA contract.
Preferred Criteria Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification. Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). AOTA Membership. Two years of working experience in a hospital-based acute care setting. Experience with post-surgical spine, stroke, and medical/surgical populations. Required Criteria Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. New York State Occupational Therapy License
  • must be obtained within one year of hire.
Limited Permit as per New York State Act for Occupational Therapists. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
