Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position within a local school district. This role is focused on supporting a high-needs student population across two elementary school sites, providing a rewarding opportunity to deliver critical therapeutic support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored occupational therapy services to students with high-needs caseloads in an educational setting. Float between two elementary schools to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group interventions. Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective IEP intervention plans. Utilize therapeutic techniques to enhance students' functional abilities and participation in daily school activities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress in compliance with regulatory and school standards. Attend required meetings and participate in Safety Care training provided by the school.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Rhode Island Occupational Therapy (OT) license. Strong understanding of school-based therapy frameworks and IDEA regulations. Ability to work independently while effectively communicating as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to undergo and implement Safety Care training (provided upon hire). #Education
