Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based contract role where your Occupational Therapy expertise makes a tangible difference for students. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled OT seeking a flexible, short-term position offering meaningful clinical experiences. You'll be providing support for 6-12 weeks, covering a medical leave, and your commitment just one day per week gives you the chance to impact young lives while balancing other priorities.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Rhode Island Prior experience working within a school setting preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Comfort with supporting students in grades 6-12 Adaptability in managing a varied caseload and meeting student needs Timely documentation and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct OT services to help students access their educational environment and achieve individualized goals Collaborate with teachers, faculty, and parents regarding accommodations and strategies Maintain detailed session and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory standards Support students' participation in classroom and school-based activities Participate in meetings or consultations as needed
