Part Time Vision Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking mature, professional, & team-oriented individuals who enjoy working with patients in a clinical setting. Therapist will be working one-on-one with patients to develop their vision skills, so they can maximize their learning capabilities and daily visual functions. The job entails the use of specialized instruments and computer technology. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to explore and experience potential career paths within the medical and optometry field.
WORK SCHEDULE
16 to 28 Hours per week (minimum 4-hour shifts until 7:30pm; M-F variable between 1:00 - 7:30pm) Saturdays are mandatory workdays with part-time or full-time shifts dependent on clinic operational needs Job offer is contingent on 1-year work commitment Travel between OCVT Westlake and Pecan Park locations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement patient VT training program/activities prescribed by the Doctor Consult with patients, parents/guardians regarding VT related training activities. Charting of VT sessions and patient interactions Development & assignment of appropriate patient VT home activities. Enhance vision therapy knowledge by reading articles, case studies, research papers and attendance of VT development workshops/courses. Assist other OCVT team members as needed Training will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with children and adults in an educational or therapy environment is preferred but not required.
