Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Therapy, Therapy Aide will assist the Therapy Department with transportation, gym upkeep and other related supervised activities. This position also incorporates clerical duties consisting of faxing, filing, list management, and document distribution and inventory/ordering. Other related departmental duties are assigned as directed by the Executive Director of Therapy. Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
E = Essential Element NE = Nonessential Element 50% Performs daily clerical duties such as copying, filing, list maintenance, answering phones and information retrieval for the Therapy Department. (E) 20% Provides transportation of residents to therapy. (E) 15% Assists in daily set-up and clean-up of gym, departmental supplies and ADL apartment according to infection control policy. (E) 10% Assists with compilation of Quality Assurance Data relevant to Therapy (E) 5% Assists with inventory control and purchasing process for resident equipment needs. (NE)
