Job Description

Pay Range:
We offer both W2 and 1099 contracts for our employees. Pay ranges are listed below varying depending on which location you see members and which contract you choose.

Position Overview:
Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of members through direct therapy? At Lexington Therapies, we're seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in-person. Whether you're looking for a part-time or full-time role, you'll have the opportunity to focus on providing hands-on therapy sessions that make a real impact. In this role, you'll be integral to delivering individualized therapy plans, working directly with members to support their development and help them achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities:
Direct Therapy Sessions:
Provide neuro-affirming therapy for members based on individualized treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists. Implement therapeutic activities to support members' sensory-motor development and progress. Monitor and document members' progress, adjusting therapy as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Engage with members in a way that respects and supports their unique neurological profiles.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with Supervising Occupational Therapists, families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy. Educate and guide members, parents, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to continue progress at home.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress using electronic platforms. Key Attributes for

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the State of Arizona, in good standing. A passion for working with members and a commitment to delivering high-quality neuro-affirming therapy. Exceptional clinical writing and verbal communication skills. Creativity and flexibility in therapeutic approaches. Mobility & Endurance Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit on the floor for extended periods during therapy sessions. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30-50 pounds (e.g., therapy equipment, adaptive devices, or assisting children). Fine motor skills to demonstrate activities (cutting, writing, manipulating small objects). Tolerance for loud environments, movement-based activities, and sensory equipment (swings, crash pads, trampolines). Sufficient vision to observe posture, movement, and engagement. Sufficient hearing to communicate with children (including those who may be nonverbal) and caregivers. Visual & Auditory Skills Balance and agility to safely spot or assist children using swings, climbing structures, or other gross motor equipment. Sensory & Physical Tolerance Hand-eye coordination to assist children with activities requiring precision. Ability to use hands and arms for reaching, handling tools, and guiding children. Manual Dexterity & Coordination Frequent lifting and repositioning of children (toddlers to older kids). Strength & Lifting Ability to transition quickly between positions (e.g., floor to standing). Tolerance for frequent movement throughout the day between treatment rooms, sensory gyms, and playground areas.

Sessions will be done at our clinic, in members homes, at daytime programs and at schools. You will have the assistance of an admin team to help create your schedule and begin
