Responsibilities Implement treatment programs created by the OT (e.g., elf-care tasks, fine motor exercises, handwriting practice, cognitive retraining). Assist patients in learning or relearning daily activities such as dressing, bathing, cooking, or using adaptive devices. Teach proper use of assistive technology (wheelchairs, adaptive utensils, splints, communication devices, etc.). Provide interventions that promote functional independence at home, school, or work. Encourage patient participation and motivation during therapy sessions.
