Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a PreK-8 school setting in Phoenix, AZ. This contract position spans the 2026/2027 school year, beginning at the start of the academic year and concluding at its end.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students aged PreK through 8th grade. Provide direct occupational therapy services targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in accordance with school and state guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input related to occupational therapy goals. Adapt interventions to meet the varied needs of students across different age groups, including opportunities focused on PreK-only, K-6, and K-8.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working in school-based settings preferred. Understanding of developmental and functional challenges impacting PreK-8 students. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of educational and therapeutic documentation standards.
