Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students across K-12th grade with your skills as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school-based contract role. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 30 hours per week, you'll provide meaningful services throughout the full academic year, working closely with a virtual Occupational Therapist supervisor. This position empowers you to collaborate with educators, families, and your supervising OT to foster student success and independence in the classroom environment.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required Prior experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents preferred Comfortable working with K-12th grade students with a variety of abilities Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to take initiative and follow direction from a remote supervisor Tech-savvy, adaptable, and open to using virtual communication tools
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a virtual OT Assist in the implementation of IEP goals and objectives, documenting student progress accordingly Contribute to assessments, observations, and reports as needed to support the team Collaborate regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals Utilize creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt strategies to individual student needs Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards for all student-related information
