Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Stockton, CA. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through personalized therapy interventions. The COTA will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive effective and compassionate support throughout their recovery process. Duties Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide direct therapeutic interventions to patients across various settings, including clinics, hospitals, or outpatient facilities. Monitor and document patient progress, noting improvements or setbacks, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for therapy sessions. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities, exercises, and strategies to promote independence and functional improvement. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient sessions in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and optimize therapeutic outcomes. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for both patients and staff. Qualifications Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or registration as required by California regulations. Prior experience working with diverse patient populations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and adapt interventions based on patient progress. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping. Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. This role requires a proactive approach, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on patients' lives through occupational therapy practices.
Pay:
$47.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
