It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns. This position reports directly to the Lead Occupational Therapist. Responsible for providing direct clinical services on the Behavioral Health Unit for both adolescents and adults. The incumbent, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist will be involved in the development and coordination of groups and activities. Accountable for providing individual and group treatment based upon treatment plan and unit needs. In close collaboration with the Occupational Therapist, will ensure that treatment interventions are appropriate, meeting the patient's individual functional status and up to date with current discipline practices. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college with an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. National Occupational Therapist Assistant Certification and State of Connecticut Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license required. Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques, and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.
