We are looking for COTAs who are committed to helping patients improve their ability to safely perform daily activities and maintain independence in the home.POSITION

Broward County onlyRESPONSIBILITIES
Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional activities. Implement treatment activities according to the established occupational therapy plan of care. Assist with exercises and activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional performance. Educate patients and caregivers regarding safety and appropriate techniques as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Assist patients in achieving functional goals established by the Occupational Therapist. Maintain communication with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow the established plan of care and applicable scope of practice requirements. Follow Medicare, Florida, agency, infection prevention, and patient safety requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.QUALIFICATIONS
Current and applicable Florida COTA certification/license/registration . Current BLS/CPR certification , if required by agency policy and applicable position requirements. Ability to work under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient homes throughout Broward County. Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time. Home health experience is preferred but not required.REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
