e2140-50266 Job Description Support students growth and make a meaningful impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic educational environment near West Des Moines, IA. This full-time, on-site position is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about working with pediatric populations to further their careers. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Prior experience or strong interest in pediatric therapy within a school setting Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with students, educators, and families Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills Willingness to adapt and engage with diverse student needs Commitment to upholding professional therapy standards and ethical practices
Key Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for students Provide direct therapy services, supporting students in achieving their educational and developmental goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates with the therapy team and educational staff Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Participate in staff meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development activities as needed
