Chesterton, IN Schedule:
PRN (As Needed) Chesterton Manor is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Chesterton, IN. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a skilled clinician who enjoys helping residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care.
What You'll Do:
Assist with implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to perform daily activities Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies that promote continued progress and independence Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes
Qualifications:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Indiana Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehabilitation team
