This contract opportunity is perfect for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) who is eager to provide quality care in both school and home health settings. Bring your expertise to a role where every interaction counts and your skills truly make a difference.
Qualifications:
Active and valid Maine (ME) COTA License required Experience as a COTA or OT in school or healthcare/home health settings strongly preferred Prior work with PreK-12 student populations is an asset Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff Ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs and environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and established goals Work effectively in a team to develop, implement, and track therapeutic interventions Support students functional skills in educational and home health settings Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions, progress, and communication Participate in staff meetings, training, and occasional family conferences as assigned Travel locally for home visits, when necessary, ensuring quality care across environments
