Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is designed for those eager to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties. Contribute directly to student success as part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing tailored support for learners with diverse abilities.

Essential Qualifications:

Active Pennsylvania COTA license Current NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Demonstrated experience working with children, preferably in schools or special education settings Availability for a school-day schedule, up to 35 hours per week Willingness and ability to commute to assignments within Carbon and Lehigh Counties Comfort delivering therapy services to students with disabilities Ability to attend an in-person interview as part of the selection process

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by supervising therapists and aligned with student IEP goals Collect data and document student progress accurately Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to adapt classroom activities and environments for student inclusion Support students individually and in groups to develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, and independence in daily activities Participate in school-based meetings and contribute to parent communication as needed
