Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our small therapy company in a PRN position with significant flexibility in the amount of work available. We provide therapy for both children in school and older adults in home. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility exercises, fostering independence and confidence. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, ensuring compliance with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and anatomy fundamentals. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to promote ongoing recovery at home or in outpatient settings. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines specific to occupational health standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and update care plans as needed. Experience Hands-on experience working with geriatric populations or pediatric patients is highly desirable. Familiarity with on campus or home healthcare will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and occupational health principles that underpin effective patient care delivery. Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required for employment. Join us to help transform lives through compassionate therapy services!

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
