JOB SUMMARY
Certified Occupational therapist Assistants lead the process in development, implementation, and coordination of the occupational therapy program. Primary responsibility includes student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student's readiness to learn, including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Employee may work in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team settings and may rotate between several schools.

Up to $41/Hourly Up to $1,537.50/Weekly Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Requirements:
Valid Active Washington State COTA License through the Department of Health Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Current CPR/First Aid Certification Ability to assist with student transfers and physical support as needed

Contract through the 2026/2027 school year - 37.5 hours per week Contract follows the academic district calendar Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Duties:
Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care. Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals. Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed. Document all patient care in accordance with department policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
