Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Per Diem Opportunity At Rock River Nursing & Rehab, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients and a dynamic work environment for our team members. We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary team in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of treatment plans for patients with varying needs and diagnoses Conduct occupational therapy treatments and interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities as prescribed by the occupational therapist Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques, safety precautions, and home programs to promote independence and prevent complications Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans Maintain accurate and thorough records of treatments, progress, and communication with patients and families Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and individualized care for each patient
Requirements:
Possess a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
