Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. is currently looking for Full-time Ophthalmic Technicians to assist our busy practice. The Ophthalmic Technician assists the Ophthalmologists in preparing patients for their appointments by: Take medical/ocular histories and entering them into our EMR system Performing routine and diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, refraction, VF testing and OCT imaging. Assist the doctors with patient examinations and treatment Refill prescriptions through an ERX system Respond promptly to messages from patients, other doctors, and pharmacists Maintain and clean exam rooms and equipment. Other responsibilities as needed The requirements of the position are as follows: You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in any of our three offices Occasional Saturday required based on rotation Candidate must have a track record of dependability, including good attendance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers from all departments Proficiency in using computers and basic office equipment Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required Experience in ophthalmology, optometry or another medical setting is a plus What we offer: Ability to work with doctors in various Ophthalmic Specialties Health, dental, and life insurance Short and long-term disability 401K PTO Six paid holidays Re-imbursement towards the JCAHPO Home Study certification Competitive starting wages We are an equal opportunity employer.
