Medical Assistant / Ophthalmic Technician (Will Train)

What You'll Do Patient Care:
Greet patients, explain procedures, and obtain comprehensive medical, family, and ocular histories.
Clinical Testing:
Perform visual acuity tests, visual fields, and take anatomical/functional ocular measurements to help providers ensure accurate diagnoses.
Specialty Support:
Administer ophthalmic drops, teach patients Contact Lens Insertion and Removal (including slit lamp evaluations), and manage contact lens inventory.
Daily Operations:
Prepare and clean exam rooms, maintain clinical equipment, and keep patient flow moving smoothly.
Administration:
Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA standards. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in patient care, customer service, front desk, or medical administration preferred. Strong computer skills with the ability to type at least 60 WPM. (Experience with RevolutionEHR is a big bonus!) A team player who is organized, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility:
Occasional travel and rotation between our Astoria, Long Beach, and Seaside offices may be required.
Physical Ability:
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, work in dimmed lighting, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. If you love customer service, working with patients, and want to build a career in healthcare, apply now with your resume!
