We are an established but new and still-growing practice, which means flexibility, ownership, and comfort with some independence. Some days are fast-paced and patient-facing; others are quieter but just as important, focused on follow-ups, organization, and keeping everything running smoothly. What You'll Do Be the first impression Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, and create a calm, polished, boutique experience from the moment they walk in. Deliver thoughtful, personalized service We value connection over volume. You'll help patients feel heard, cared for, and confident in their eyewear and care decisions. And educate patients on eye care, wear, and lens options. Support optical & patient care Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style while providing excellent customer service. Take accurate measurements of pupillary distance, frame fit, and other vital signs necessary for optimal vision correction. Optical experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn is essential. Handle administrative & operational work This includes scheduling, recalls, insurance verification and claims, patient balances/receivables, and reconciling daily and weekly tasks that keep the practice healthy. Work independently with confidence There will be 1-3 days per week where you are the primary staff member in the office. You must be comfortable staying productive during slower moments and managing responsibilities without constant supervision. Be adaptable No two days look the same in a small practice. You'll shift between front desk, optical, and behind-the-scenes work as needed. Experience & Skills Preferred:

6 months experience in optometry, optical, or a related healthcare/customer service role Retail management skills including retail math, sales techniques, and retail sales experience. Familiarity with EHRs, insurance, or eyewear is a plus — training provided for the right person Comfort multitasking while maintaining a polished, professional demeanor Interest in eyewear, aesthetics, and patient education is strongly valued Schedule & Environment Flexible schedule and hour options (8-30 hours) with future potential for full-time Short Saturdays No Sundays or holidays Boutique, patient-focused environment — not corporate or high-volume Why Perspective Eyes?
