We are seeking a skilled Optician passionate about luxury independent eyewear to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who's looking to grow their career and to join our work family long term. We're looking for someone who's up to date on eyeglass trends and has a good understanding of high end lens options. Insurance knowledge is important. Other important traits include attention to detail, reliability, and honesty. Customer service and ability to follow up with patients must be top notch. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting eyeglass frames that complement their features and meet their prescription needs Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and treatments Adjust and repair eyewear as needed Maintain inventory of eyeglass frames and contact lenses Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses Ability to capture multiple pairs sales. Schedule appointments and misc administrative tasks. Experience Previous experience in a private practice optometry office is a must. Familiarity with optical laboratory procedures is a plus Knowledge of medical billing related to vision care services is advantageous Proficiency in retail math for transactions and inventory management Experience working with diverse customer demographics including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with special care needs Familiarity with retail management systems is beneficial Strong sales skills to effectively communicate the value of different eyewear products
