Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention and stabilization for patients across various scenarios. Assess patient conditions through thorough physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive patient assessments. Administer basic life support (BLS) interventions including airway management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration as needed. Perform advanced procedures such as venipuncture, injections, and critical care interventions under protocol. Operate ambulances safely while adhering to all traffic laws; perform heavy lifting during patient loading and unloading with proper technique. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care reports, vital signs, medications administered, and incident details following aseptic techniques. Collaborate with hospital staff during triage and handoff processes at Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers to ensure seamless patient transfer. Skills Proven EMT experience with knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and medical terminology. Critical care experience preferred, especially within hospital or ICU settings; familiarity with trauma center procedures is a plus. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and the principles of patient assessment and vital signs interpretation. Experience in airway management techniques and administering injections or medications in urgent situations. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and utilize DME (Durable Medical Equipment) effectively during transport. Excellent driving skills with a clean record; capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with emergency response. Knowledge of venipuncture procedures, aseptic techniques, and emergency room operations enhances your ability to deliver top-tier patient care.
