The EMT-Basic will be responsible for providing essential pre-hospital care to patients in emergency situations. Duties Provide immediate medical care to patients at the scene of emergencies. Perform patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer basic life support, including CPR and airway management. Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of patient conditions. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and emergency personnel. Transport patients safely to medical facilities, ensuring continuous monitoring during transit. Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergency situations. Stay informed about protocols related to Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. Requirements Certification as an EMT-Basic from an accredited program. Proficiency in basic life support techniques and patient care practices. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to emergency medicine. Experience with patient assessment skills and vital sign monitoring. Familiarity with airway management procedures. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
