Overview The Patient Safety Aide reports to the Nurse Manager and works under the direct supervision of the RN taking care of the assigned patient. The job duties include providing safety of this patient at all times by observing patient activities and reporting unsafe behaviors. What you will do Sits in the assigned patient's room, to observe the patient to ensure the patient causes no harm to themselves, or others. Specifically ensures the patient does not attempt suicide, fall, injure self, remove IVs, dressing, etc. or leaves the hospital against medical advice. Promotes team work by working effectively as a team member as well as independently. Seeks assistance as needed. Consistently keeps team informed of changes as they arise, working closely with all team members to provide quality care and customer service. Provides exceptional customer service to all patients/customers.
