Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Orangetheory Fitness Coach and become a vital part of inspiring individuals to achieve their health and fitness goals! As a fitness coach, you will utilize your expertise in various exercise modalities and biomechanics to deliver safe, effective, and motivating training sessions. Responsibilities Lead high-energy group fitness classes incorporating diverse training techniques such as cardio, strength, HIIT, cycling, yoga, Pilates, and boxing-inspired workouts. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and body mechanics to ensure safety and maximize results for all participants. Design and modify workout programs tailored to individual fitness levels and goals, providing clear instructions and demonstrations. Motivate members through positive coaching, encouraging consistent effort and celebrating achievements to foster a supportive community atmosphere. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including manual handling procedures and first aid readiness; operate AEDs when necessary. Communicate effectively with clients about their progress, answer questions about exercises or program modifications, and promote ongoing engagement with the fitness facility. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workout areas while adhering to health club standards for hygiene and safety. Requirements Proven experience in group fitness instruction or personal training within the fitness industry; certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) are mandatory. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and exercise science principles. Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of exercise routines including yoga, Pilates, CrossFit-style training, cycling classes, dancing, or sports coaching is highly desirable. Exceptional client communication skills with a passion for motivating others and delivering outstanding customer service. Physical fitness training experience involving heavy lifting, manual handling, or functional movement coaching preferred. Certifications or experience in Kickboxing, Body Mechanics, Program Design for group classes, or specialty areas like Pilates or Yoga are advantageous. Ability to adapt coaching styles for different skill levels while maintaining high energy levels throughout classes.
