The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various fitness disciplines, including CrossFit, Pilates, and kickboxing, and will be responsible for leading engaging group fitness classes while promoting a healthy lifestyle. This role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in anatomy and program design, with the ability to educate and motivate clients of all fitness levels. Responsibilities Lead group fitness classes in various formats working with children grades K-6th in an after school program. Design and implement effective fitness programs tailored to the needs of participants. Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, safety protocols, and the importance of physical fitness. Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their fitness goals. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and builds community among members. Stay updated on industry trends and continue professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gym or health club facilities. Requirements Certification in group fitness instruction or related field (e.g., CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Pilates Instructor Certification). Strong knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and program design principles. Experience in sports coaching or personal training is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate diverse groups of individuals. Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively while ensuring participant safety. A passion for health and fitness with a commitment to promoting wellness within the community. Previous experience working in a gym or health club setting is preferred but not mandatory.
