Community Ed is looking for a Yoga Instructor to join our team! Must be passionate about your craft and willing to work with students of all fitness levels. The ideal candidate has trained in a variety of yoga methods and worked as an instructor for several years. Create fun and effective classes and be responsive to the needs of the customers. Organized, reliable, and able to arrive at all scheduled classes and appointments on time. Responsible for leading yoga classes for community members.
Duties:
Ensure the yoga room is set-up properly for class Lead students with proper breathing techniques and poses Document student attendance Keep accurate records on student fitness goals and progress
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Current yoga certification (preferred) Completion of 200-hour yoga training course (is a plus) 1-3 years of yoga instructor experience preferred Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills Ability to work with participants who may need specialized attention (Community Ed is a fully inclusive organization.)
Skills:
First aid/CPR training and certification preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work early mornings, nights and weekends (evening classes preferred) Positive attitude, encouraging and patient with participants when instructing Able to build positive and professional relationships with participants Position involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing Able to lift 50+ lbs.
