Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recreation Leader specialized in assisted living environments to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging activities and programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, recreational therapy, and event planning, with a passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults. This role involves developing and coordinating diverse recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs while fostering a warm, inclusive community atmosphere. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and events that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation for residents. Develop innovative programs that cater to residents with varying abilities, including those with memory care or dementia. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, needs, and individual histories to personalize engagement strategies. Collaborate with staff members across departments to ensure resident safety during activities and coordinate schedules effectively. Lead team efforts in program development, ensuring activities align with best practices in geriatrics and assisted living standards. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continuously improve program offerings. Support residents' emotional well-being by providing counseling on aging issues and fostering a vibrant community environment. Skills Proven experience in event planning within senior or assisted living settings. Strong background in recreational therapy or senior care with familiarity in working with individuals with disabilities or special needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging residents, families, and team members effectively. Ability to manage multiple schedules efficiently while maintaining flexibility for resident needs. We are currently seeking individuals interested in fulfilling the following shifts: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am - 5pm Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11am - 7pm Join us as we create vibrant programs that inspire joy, foster community connections, and enhance the well-being of our cherished residents!
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per weekBenefits:
