Job Overview SOOP Pilates is a boutique Pilates studio focused on thoughtful movement, small-group instruction, and long-term body intelligence. We are seeking a knowledgeable, grounded, and genuinely passionate Pilates Instructor to join our growing team. The ideal instructor has a strong understanding of anatomy and movement principles, teaches with clarity and intention, and values quality over volume. This role is an opportunity to work in a calm, design-forward studio environment while supporting clients through intelligent, personalized Pilates instruction. Responsibilities Lead high-quality reformer and apparatus Pilates sessions for individuals and small groups, prioritizing safety, precision, and presence Design and deliver well-structured Pilates programming tailored to diverse bodies, goals, and experience levels Cue movement clearly and effectively, emphasizing alignment, breath, and sustainable strength Educate clients on body awareness, injury prevention, and efficient movement patterns Observe and track client progress, offering thoughtful modifications and individualized feedback Foster a welcoming, supportive studio atmosphere that encourages consistency and trust Collaborate on the development of class offerings, flows, and programming as the studio evolves Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment in line with health and safety standards Qualifications Pilates certification from a recognized training program Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics Experience teaching private sessions and/or small group classes Ability to adapt programming for different bodies, abilities, and goals Clear, confident communication and a calm teaching presence Genuine interest in client education, long-term progress, and movement integrity Prior experience in boutique fitness, wellness, or client-facing roles is a plus Why SOOP At SOOP, we believe Pilates is not about intensity for intensity's sake — it's about moving well, moving intelligently, and moving for life.
