Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire Located in Likely, CA, this opportunity offers a rewarding career in pharmaceutical care with a contract-to-hire position starting June 2nd, lasting approximately 13 weeks. Reporting to the Retail Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive delivery of retail pharmacy services, ensuring strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications. Compound and dispense prescriptions accurately. Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriate formulations. Supervise pharmacy staff in mixing, packaging, and labeling medications. Counsel patients on drug interactions, dosages, side effects, and storage. Maintain quality assurance protocols, including control of controlled substances and hazardous waste disposal. Manage pharmacy records, data entry, and billing systems efficiently. Train and instruct interns and other personnel while adhering to legal staffing ratios. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to enhance patient care. Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy laws, third-party insurance systems, and industry developments. Ensure excellent customer service, handle customer concerns professionally, and foster positive team dynamics.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed to practice pharmacy in California. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.

D. from an accredited institution. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated ability in organization, time management, and professional communication. Commitment to continuing education to maintain pharmacist competency. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to pharmacy operations.
