Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity calls for a skilled pharmacist to support a healthcare facility providing pharmacy services to 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds. The role is a 13-week contract position with an ASAP start date, offering the chance to make an immediate impact in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing. Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations. Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and patient care. Apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics to optimize dosing regimens. Utilize the Altera Sunrise information system; training will be provided for this unique platform. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Valid California pharmacist license required. Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred to handle the acute care setting effectively. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Ability to adapt to a variable schedule, including days and afternoons, working four 10-hour shifts per week.
