Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a small hospital in Willits, CA. Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to hospital patients Review and verify medication orders, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations Counsel patients and healthcare staff regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy plans Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, usage, and reporting requirements Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with relevant state pharmacy board Previous experience working as a Staff Pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting preferred Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy laws Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals Detail-oriented approach to accurately manage and dispense medication Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
