Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity calls for experienced and motivated pharmacists to support long-term care operations through a 12-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire status. The role is based in Selma, CA, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with no weekend shifts, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Monitor patient medication compliance and detect over-usage patterns Ensure all medication supplies and prescriptions comply with relevant laws and regulations Maintain confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy files Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer queries Provide consultations regarding prescription and non-prescription drugs, including storage and drug interactions Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies Collaborate closely with healthcare practitioners to identify and address drug-related problems

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Active California pharmacist license Experience in retail pharmacy is welcomed; training will be provided for retail pharmacists transitioning into long-term care Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting This contract position starts immediately, making it ideal for pharmacists ready to begin promptly.
