Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire Oversee and lead a new home infusion pharmacy site, managing day-to-day operations and clinical services to deliver safe, effective intravenous therapies in patients' homes. This leadership role requires expertise in sterile compounding, pharmacy personnel management, and regulatory compliance to establish and grow the branch successfully.
Location:
Whittier, CA Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Administrative on-call responsibilities Must have schedule flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
Direct daily pharmacy operations including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory control Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and on-call scheduling for pharmacists and technicians Ensure compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy requirements and USP compounding standards Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize infusion therapy clinical outcomes Contribute to budgeting, workflow improvements, and branch performance strategies
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license valid in California 3 to 7 years' clinical and operational experience in home infusion or acute care pharmacy settings Proven expertise in IV admixture services and regulatory compliance Strong leadership skills managing pharmacy teams Experience with CareTend system is highly preferred The opening facility will start with a team of two pharmacists and one technician and is poised for growth.
