Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire This leadership role focuses on integrating sterile compounding expertise with clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and team management to support infusion pharmacy patients. You'll oversee a low-volume pharmacy averaging 100 scripts daily, including approximately 15-20 chemotherapy preparations, ensuring safety and quality at every step.

Direct Hire Key Responsibilities:
Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately. Perform and supervise sterile compounding following USP and USP standards. Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure quality. Review patient medication profiles for safety checks including allergies, drug interactions, dosing, and compatibility. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Lead, mentor, and manage pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff. Maintain cleanroom and aseptic techniques while overseeing environmental monitoring. Manage quality assurance, medication safety protocols, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain comprehensive compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation. Oversee inventory management including controlled substances and overall pharmacy operations. Develop and update pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs. Lead staff meetings promoting communication and compliance. Adhere strictly to OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and company policies and safety regulations, including personal protective equipment use. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing. 3-5 years of sterile compounding experience, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials, compliant with USP, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills. Pharmacy management experience is essential. Preferably 3-5 years recent experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy environments. Comfortable working in a sterile compounding environment.
