Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week plus opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to work a consistent night schedule, 9 pm to 7 am, 7 days on and 7 days off. This role provides essential pharmacy support during overnight hours, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing pharmacokinetics, and consulting with nurses and physicians to optimize medication therapy. The pharmacist will work as the sole pharmacist alongside a technician during the night shift, requiring strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making. Ideal candidates hold an active Georgia pharmacist license and have at least one year of recent inpatient hospital experience. Experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is preferred, as well as familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems. Solid hospital pharmacy knowledge is essential to confidently manage the overnight responsibilities. This contract role starts immediately, making it a great fit for pharmacists looking to contribute their skills in a dynamic and rewarding hospital environment.
