The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, evidence-based medication use within the healthcare institution. They verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy, oversee pharmacy technicians, and provide clinical pharmaceutical care to prevent and resolve medication-related problems.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered medication therapy recommendations and education to patients, families, and healthcare team members. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical guideline development. Ensure safe, efficient medication distribution, collaborating with pharmacy staff and overseeing technicians. Support professional development through mentoring, education, and participation in departmental activities. Engage in ongoing self-development, attend educational programs, and demonstrate professional membership and leadership. Comply with organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required education: Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy. Active pharmacist licensure (RPH). Minimum two years of pharmacy experience preferred. Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
