Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital inpatient pharmacy environment is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and ensure safe medication use within a dynamic clinical setting. This role requires expertise in hospital medication dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare teams to optimize inpatient treatment outcomes. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, managing drug inventory, counseling patients and healthcare staff on proper medication use, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The pharmacist will also participate in clinical rounds, provide drug information, and support pharmacy department initiatives to improve patient safety and efficiency.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current pharmacist license in good standing Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings Proficient in medication order review and clinical pharmacy practices Strong knowledge of drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical protocols Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams Excellent communication and organizational skills
